Caring bikers are riding to the rescue of a popular North East charity event which nearly reached the end of the road after almost two decades.
Every year since 1991, scores of leather-clad motorcyclists have taken part in the annual Easter Egg run organised by the Northumberland Bikers' club.

The 15-strong Bedlington Art Group was formed two years ago following the closure of an adult education course which its members had attended at the town's community high school.
It now meets every Thursday evening at the Bedlington Station Residents' Association building in Ravensworth Terrace so that members can share their enthusiasm for art and scrutinise each other's work.
