Students and staff at two partnership schools in Northumberland are celebrating after winning an accolade for their enterprising spirit.
Bedlingtonshire Community High School and West Sleekburn Middle School, which are joined together in a formal federation, are the winners of the Wansbeck Enterprising Schools award for secondary schools.

Presenting the award, Robin Casson, director of children's services for the county council, said the schools had "embedded an enterprising culture" and had shared the leadership role across staff and students alike.
A supermarket chain has backed a project aimed at providing useful activities for teenagers in Bedlington.
Staff at the Tesco store in Bedlington dished up food for a barbecue which was held at the end of a successful orienteering event for 35 young people aged 13 to 19.
The day was organised by Northumbria Police and Bedlington Youth Partnership, and involved the teenagers finding their way around the town and completing various challenges before ending up in Dr Pitt Park.
Marathon man Carl Gair is taking to the track again to raise cash.
Carl, from Bedlington, will run 156 miles across the Sahara desert next year in the Marathon des Sables, and aims to raise ã10,000 for charity Mencap.
He and marathon runner Rory Coleman will complete 26 miles around Bedlington Community High School's race track tomorrow. In July, Carl raised over ã2,000 in a similar challenge at Whitley Memorial C of E Aided First School.
A blaze which broke out in highly-combustible materials at a Northumberland scrapyard created a huge plume of thick smoke which could be seen from miles away.
Around 15 firefighters from three stations spent more than two hours tackling the blaze in a former coal depot on the Barrington industrial estate in Bedlington on Saturday.
The county's fire and rescue service received a spate of 999 calls from members of the public who saw the cloud of black smoke billowing out from the site after the fire started just before 4pm.
A company that has been operating for less than two years has been crowned Wansbeck Business of the Year.
Food Local Food, based at Bothal between Ashington and Morpeth, was set up by Alison Taylor because of her passion for locally produced food and frustration at being unable to find it in many supermarkets.

The company, which employs nine people, now provides locally sourced food from 120 suppliers for sale to consumers through its website - which also picked up the technical award on Thursday night.
