Christmas comes late in Bedlington
The joy of Christmas is still to come for a group of stroke sufferers.
The South-East Northumberland Stroke Support Group is holding its Christmas dinner on January 19.
A £100 donation from Help the Aged means the 14-strong group of patients and carers will be able to enjoy all the trimmings when they meet at Bedlington Community Centre, Bedlington Station.
Secretary Mrs Eileen Watters, 79, said: "We're really looking forward to it. The club exists to give stroke sufferers and carers the chance to meet socially.
"We do our best to make sure all our members enjoy quality of life. We're extremely grateful for the donation."
